Fashion Profile
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a conference in Tennessee.. (more about that later)
While I was there, I ran into this fabulous young lady; Ms. Alonee Gray. Check her out!!!
Her outfit is so cayuuute! Alonee is wearing an oversized men's shirt with red and white stripes, a pair of lightwash skinny jeans, gold hoops, a series of chains (kept together with an innovative safety pin), tan loafers, and a red and white scarf tied as a headband with a large flat bow. The whole look is very Patriotism Street Chic, if I may say so myself. I love how this outfit has a comfortable feel, while maintaining that touch of feminism that is so often lost when wearing menswear. And it showcases Alonee's gorgeous legs without having to show a lot of skin. Her style that day was so unique and love-able that I had to have a sit down with her. ZL: Alonee, tell me...What are your style inspirations?
AG: Colors. Patterns. Um.. I don’t know. I guess if I see something I like, I just try it.
ZL: I love that! Do you have a specific style that you love?
AG: I really like Marilyn Monroe’s style and Rihanna’s style. And I also like menswear.
ZL: If you could describe your everyday style, would you, and if so, how?
AG: Full of life and adventure.
ZL: Awesome, awesome. Now, my blog is about inspiring people to find their inner color, and letting that color inspire them. If you could describe your life in one color, what would it be?
AG: Yellow: I am yellow, so that’s where it comes from. I like the Sunshine. It brings me life. It gets me like, excited and energized so I always try to be that for other people.
ZL: You're like a flower, lol. Last thing; is there a quote that you live by, or a lasting statement you’d like to leave our readers?
AG: “Carpe Diem” was introduced to me in eighth grade social studies class. It’s always been in the back of my head, before yellow. Just about seizing the day, seizing the opportunity and making sure you are living life abundantly.
